Statewide Irrigation Water Conservation - FY 2009
Program Information
Ground and surface water conservation funding is being
offered statewide to provide irrigators outside of the three panhandle counties
an opportunity for cost-share assistance to increase system efficiency and
provide for water savings. The water conservation and irrigation eligibility
requirements of EQIP are as follows:
-
The land must
have been irrigated two (2) of the five (5) years previous to application
for EQIP.
-
Conservation measures applied through the EQIP must result in a net water
savings to the operating unit.
Application Process, Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis, but only those received
by April 1, 2009, will be considered for the initial selections.
Funding selections will be made on or before May 22, 2009, exclusively from those applications
received.
Applicants may apply by completing the NRCS-CPA-1200 Application Form and
